Parent Retreat

Parent Retreat Renovation at Delaney Creek on the beautiful Sunshine Coast

Sunshine Coast locals Alec and Glenda were referred to Zephyr Renovations by Eileen Middleton Interiors in February 2020. Their job entailed creating a parent retreat by renovating their En-suite, Walk-in Robe and Master Bedroom. The design and layout was created by Eileen Middleton Interiors. Zephyr Renovations team completed the job in under 3 months and were in charge of arranging engineering and building approvals as well as organising all trades and certification.

See below our reconfiguration & transformation of a tired parent retreat into a luxury private living space.

Zephyr Renovations worked together as a perfect team with Eileen Middleton an award-winning interior designer.

The Challenge

Due to existing patio and waterproofing issues at this Sunshine Coast home, some careful planning and consideration was needed to commence the renovation process. Our clients first vision required alterations at the interior design phase. Interior design changes were made by Eileen to totally reconfigure the space and make room for the bathroom extension by completely removing existing robes. Together with our interior design team we achieved a successful renovation result. By persisting with our Zephyr Renovations confidence were we able to bring our clients dream to life. We saw an amazing result that exceeded our Sunshine Coast based clients expectations.

The Result

The bathroom size was increased at the interior design phase allowing for the new round spa bath which captures the stunning view of the Glass House Mountains on the Sunshine Coast. The interior design layout included a double shower along with a generous double vanity using high quality granite and fittings. We sourced these materials at a competitive price for our clients. Motorised window treatments and recessed cabinetry were also incorporated into the design to enhance the perception of space. We sourced large format Italian porcelain gloss tiles to enhanced the level of finish. We installed decorative pendant lights as per design specifications and concealed in wall cistern positioned for privacy. A classy transformation.

Master Bedroom & Walk-in Robe

*Master Bedroom* Our hand selected interior design team completely changed the layout/ configuration of the master bedroom. By removing existing robes more space was created for sitting, sleeping and walk-in robe areas. Contemporary New Zealand wool blend carpet was sourced and installed by our expert tradesmen. New electrical fittings were chosen including dazzling lighting and we also attended to repositioning the ducted air-conditioning as per design specifications. Motorised window treatments were installed and a new entrance to the room was cleverly designed to use tiles as a design feature.

*Walk-in Robe* The walk-in robe size was increased as per design specifications. New custom designed concealed walk in wardrobe cabinetry was installed to suite our client’s needs. The interior design plans of the robes layout was extensively customised to allow space for our clients fancy perfumes, nicely placed pull out draws for their clothing and concealed LED feature lighting to highlight the contents of the robe. Zephyr Renovations were able to source the fine cabinetry and modern light fittings at a competitive price for our clients robe renovation. A beautiful transformation.

:: NOOSA RE-ROOF :: This gorgeous Paul Clout desi :: NOOSA RE-ROOF ::

This gorgeous Paul Clout designed home now has a new roof, wood soffits and glazing installed, ready for the summer months!

Originally, only a section of the roof was to be replaced, however during the renovation, we found water ingress through some of the roofing structure which had to be replaced. ⛈ Our team worked hard to replace all the roof sheets, water damaged timber, glazing and soffits, making the home water-tight.

All fresh and crisp, we think she looks amazing - Don't you?
😍❤

Thanks to our awesome crew who made this happen!

:: PENTHOUSE RENOVATION :: Sometimes renovations :: PENTHOUSE RENOVATION ::

Sometimes renovations don't always go to plan! 😫
What began as a minor works project has now grown into a total flooring replacement after discovering existing moisture ingress and subsequent water damage throughout the unit 🌧⛈.

The existing hardwood flooring was showing signs of water damage, but on further investigation, we found water traveling through and rising up the concrete slab. The doorways have been sealed, the whole floor prepped and is ready for waterproofing.

There could be worse places to work though - would you look at that view! 😮😍🌊
Stay tuned to see the finished project!
