Most of the kitchens we renovate are in existing Sunshine Coast homes — usually older Queenslanders, brick-and-tile 80s/90s builds, or coastal homes that have been added to over time. The work almost always involves more than swapping cabinets: re-routing plumbing, opening a wall, levelling a floor, upgrading the electrical, sometimes structural work to support a new island or window.

HOW WE RUN A KITCHEN RENOVATION

At Zephyr Constructions, we take full ownership of the kitchen renovation process, managing every detail with care and professionalism. Every kitchen we deliver runs through the same six stages. The detail and timing varies. The discipline doesn't.

SITE ASSESSMENT & FEASIBILITY

We come to your home, measure existing services, identify structural and plumbing constraints, and give you a realistic cost range before you spend money on design.

DESIGN COORDINATION

We work with the designer or cabinetmaker to make sure the design is buildable. We catch the steel beam, the plumbing run, the appliance dimensions, and the tile threshold before they become a variation.

SPECIFICATION & FIXED-PRICE QUOTE

You get a line-by-line specification of every fitting, finish, appliance, and inclusion. Not "PC sums and allowances" you'll fight about later.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION PHASE

Cabinetry ordered, stone templated after rough-in, appliances confirmed, trades booked, your live-in plan agreed.

CONSTRUCTION PHASE

You get a weekly written update and what decisions we need from you. Variations are quoted and approved in writing before work proceeds.

HANDOVER & DEFECTS PERIOD

Final walkthrough, appliance manuals and warranties handed over, defects period managed properly. We come back if something needs adjusting.

INVESTMENT

WHAT A KITCHEN COSTS

We don’t quote sight-unseen and we don’t publish a “from $X” number that turns into something different by week three. But it’s fair to give you a range so you can plan. For the kitchens we typically build:

REFRESH / $80k–$120k

Refresh in an existing footprint. New cabinetry, stone, splashback, appliances, plumbing in similar positions, minimal structural change.

REBUILD / $120k–$180k

Reconfigured kitchen. Walls moved, plumbing and electrical re-routed, new island, often tied into a broader open-plan living renovation.

LUXURY KITCHEN / $200k +

Kitchen as part of a larger renovation or extension. Structural work, new windows, ceiling changes, integration with new flooring across multiple rooms.
